At Wind River Realty, we’re committed to staying on the cutting-edge of real estate marketing.
In the past, that meant developing a strong presence on the internet and social media sites as those venues were developing years ago.
We then forayed into YouTube, where we create narrated video tours and drone tours of select homes to give buyers a more complete understanding of the properties in which they are interested.
This year, we’ve expanded our marketing technology further with a new way to market homes for sale – using Amazon Echos. More specifically, we utilize the Alexa virtual assistant to act as a “tour guide” in select homes.
As you can see in the video below, having an Amazon Echo (or two, or three, or four…) in a home allows both buyers and buyers’ agents to learn more about the home on the fly.
What’s so great about this is that we have complete control over the “story” that Alexa tells people when they interact with her.
That means that if a client makes updates to their home – like fresh paint in the main bathroom – we can remotely reprogram Alexa so she can mention that update the next time she interacts with potential buyers. We can do the same for added amenities, price reductions, the addition of allowances or credits from the seller, and so forth.
In other words, having Alexas in our listings helps us tell the story of the home and what it’s like to live there. We think this adds to the experience of touring a home and gives a more detailed overview of the property rather than just reeling off facts like square footage and the number of beds and baths.
As we discuss in the video, not only do we feel like this is a valuable service to our clients, but we think it will be much-appreciated by our fellow Realtors as they show these properties to their clients.
It’s impossible for Realtors to remember every detail of every home, so when buyer’s agents come to our Alexa-enabled listings, they can lean on her to disseminate detailed, accurate information to their clients.
